Curiouser and Curiouser

Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English).

Here in lower Bucks County, PA, the authorities push to drive the homeless away from the Veterans Memorial and vicinity is getting curiouser and curiouser. Yesterday a sign was put up in the parking lots outside the library and municipal building with rules, including the hours people can visit the area. What’s curious is that it reads that it applies to the government services campus.

The memorial, which guards, accompanied on occasion by Sheriff’s Deputy’s, have been trying to chase the homeless from, is not a part of the government services campus. Although perhaps technically under the watch of Bucks County, the memorial was put up by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). The local VFW is OK with the homeless resting at the memorial, and even welcomes them, as the clean up and watch over the place.

Much of the animosity and consequent push to get the homeless out is driven by the employees at the WIC office in the municipal building, which faces the memorial. As I mentioned on a previous blog, two homeless women, one with COPD who just came in one winter morning during business hours to get warm for a short time were driven out, just because they were homeless. I believe that these government leeches were the prime movers for this sign.

Surprise, Surprise!  Not! I was not surprised yesterday when I saw Alan Johnson and other county mental health hustlers at the memorial. I know first hand about Alan. He told me he would offer me housing in exchange for me getting on SSD and labeling myself as being so mentally messed up that I can never work again. I told him that was fraud and declined. Just last night at a community dinner someone told me that at a Code Blue, Alan tricked him into getting on SSD. He, like others, have been put up in housing in return for subscribing to mental health services.

Bucks County has a history of hustling its taxpayer funded mental health services to homeless people.

I did some research and found that Alan and other hustlers from Penndel Mental Health Center went to tent city meet and greets, and during evictions to bamboozle the homeless into signing up for mental health clinics so they can get their taxpayer funded funds. They’ve also been showing up at Code Blues and even at community meals for the homeless and needy.

Put 2 and 2 together. The county is not offering housing, unless you call that housing assistance number housing, which takes 1-2 years to get on board. The County Mental Health Department, of which the municipal building is part of, will give housing readily if the homeless by offering them a taxpayer voucher/ticket to get aboard the Disoriented Express.

People should have a choice where they go for help in the free market. I went to Penndel Mental Health after suffering from acute anxiety and depression after I lost my job, etc. I would not go there again. They rely too heavily on drugs to control behavior. My anxiety actually got worse with the medicine they prescribed me. I believe they are in cahoots with Big Pharm.

I dealt with my issues another way — through the church and faith based programs. The churches can help the homeless better than secular psychology. People should have a choice in the free market and not be shanghaied.

Just a disclaimer, to my knowledge, Bucks County Health Department hasn’t put any homeless people in an insane asylum, but there is a quid pro quo that if homeless people sign up, they can get housing more readily than through other avenues, much the way registration in the Democratic party is a talisman for illegals to enter our country, and I’m not talking about a sick bird.

Don’t Think Freely (parody of Buck Owen’s Act Naturally)

Well, they’re going to put me in the nuthouse

They want to make a monkey out of me

Well, they’re going to put me in the nuthouse

And all they have to do

Is round up me

Well, they are going have to chase me real far

They’re going to hunt me and they can’t really tell

If I really need to be in the nuthouse

They expect me to play the part for them real well

I hope you’ll come and see me in the nuthouse

Maybe you can slip me a file in some cake

I hope you’ll come and see me in the nuthouse

Where I’m all doped up and can’t think freely

They want to put me in the nuthouse

That’s because they don’t think I am OK

Well the only reason that I’m in the nuthouse

Is because I’m homeless in Bucks County PA

Well, they are going have to chase me real far

They’re going to hunt me and they can’t really tell

If I really need to be in the nuthouse

They expect me to play the part for them real well

I’ll be a homeless collection in the nuthouse

From the state they want to collect their precious bounty

I’ll be a monkey caged there in the nuthouse

Where I’m all doped up and can’t think freely

They’re going to put me in the nuthouse

Where I’m all doped up and can’t think freely

Dupe-dupe a looney Dupe-dup a looney Dupe-dupe a looney…

They’re coming to take me away ah-hah he-he ah-hah ah-hah he-he ah-hah he-he…
